AXA Insurance Thailand has announced a landmark expansion of its environmental impact through the "Licence to Clean" project, a strategic partnership with the Oceans For All Foundation. Newly released data for 2025 reveals a massive surge in waste recovery, with the initiative collecting 52,110 liters of waste from the Chao Phraya River; marking a nearly 80% increase in total volume compared to 2024.
The collaboration between AXA Insurance and Oceans For All Foundation began in 2024 with the LTC004 catamaran, which operates daily waste collection in strategic areas along tourist attractions and riverside communities of the Chao Phraya River to preserve its beauty and promote ecosystem health. Recyclable waste is systematically processed at recycling centers. In 2025, AXA expanded its support with a second catamaran, LTC005, to enhance operational efficiency, resulting in the collection of 52,110 liters of waste, of which 47.50% was recyclable material.
The Licence to Clean catamarans are eco-friendly innovations specifically designed to protect aquatic ecosystems. Built from HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene) material that is 100% recyclable, these vessels reflect a commitment to the Circular Economy from design to actual operations. Collected waste is sorted daily before being processed through systematic recycling procedures.
Guillaume Mirabaud, Chief Executive Officer of AXA Insurance Thailand, said: "The nearly 80% increase in waste collection in 2025 demonstrates the power of collaboration between AXA and Oceans For All Foundation in our commitment to creating measurable change in fighting waste and water pollution. Our goal is to protect a sustainable ecosystem for the Chao Phraya River, which is the heart of Bangkok and home to millions of riverside communities. This reflects what AXA believes increating measurable and sustainable positive impact on society and the environment."
