Bangkok, October 2026 - Centara Grand & Bangkok Convention at CentralWorld has been named Best MICE Hotel of the Year at the 2026 AHA Asia Hotel Awards, recognising it for their extensive meetings and events facilities and integrated approach to hospitality.
The award was presented at the 15th Annual Asia Hotel Awards 2026, held at Capella Bangkok. The awards recognise achievements across the travel and hospitality industry, with the wider programme encompassing hotels, destinations, dining, aviation and other sectors of international tourism.

Centara Grand at CentralWorld brings accommodation, dining and extensive event facilities together within one integrated destination. Directly connected to the hotel, Bangkok Convention Centre at CentralWorld is anchored by a 5,250-square-metre pillarless convention hall, accommodating up to 6,000 guests and offering the flexibility to host conferences, exhibitions, gala dinners and major corporate events.
The wider events offering includes the 960-square-metre World Ballroom and 32 meeting rooms, providing options for executive meetings, breakout sessions, product launches and multi-day programmes. Together with 509 rooms and suites, dedicated event planning expertise and technical support, the hotel can accommodate everything from intimate gatherings to large-scale international conventions.
"We are proud to receive this recognition, particularly because MICE is such an important part of what we do at Centara Grand at CentralWorld," said Robert Maurer-Loeffler, Vice President Operations & General Manager of Centara Grand at CentralWorld. "A successful event is about much more than the space itself. It comes down to careful planning, flexibility and people who understand what organisers and delegates need. This award is a recognition of the entire team across our hotel and convention centre who make that happen every day."
The hotel's location in Bangkok's Ratchaprasong district further strengthens its appeal for organisers and delegates. Directly connected to CentralWorld and within easy reach of the city's transport network, it places shopping, dining and entertainment close at hand, while allowing accommodation, meetings and events to come together under one roof.
