Honda Automobile (Thailand) Co., Ltd. has announced its first City CNG, setting a new standard for smart living and smart choice. The innovative, value-for-money model is powered by an i-VTEC 1.5 liter engine that supports both gasoline and CNG fuel solutions. It is also equipped with electronic fuel injection and unique suspension design. Its safety features include the unrivalled electronic safety control box and solid cross bar with enhanced stability. The new Honda City CNG is completely built at Honda’s factory, therefore our customers can rely on our excellent safety standards and environmental-friendliness in line with the Euro4 standard.
Customers also benefit from the warranty of up to 3 years or 100,000 km. and can receive the full first-car tax rebate of up to 100,000 baht. The Honda City CNG is now available at Honda showrooms nationwide with a price range from 659,000 baht to 706,000 baht.

The rising oil prices in the past several years have led to an increasing concern by Honda about the rising expense burden of motorists. Honda has developed a CNG system in Honda City, one of its best-selling models to meet the lifestyles and demands of Thai consumers who are looking for a vehicle with high performance and fuel-efficiency with alternative energy.
“This latest model maintains all the unique design features of the Honda City, spacious area for optimum storage, as well as its performance and safety standards. It’s also the first 1.5-liter subcompact model that can be fueled by either gasoline or CNG, making it an ideal choice that gives consumers the highest level of value. In addition, Honda City CNG is qualified for the first-car rebate of up to 100,000 baht,” explained Pitak.
Honda City CNG is powered by a 1.5-liter i-VTEC engine that generates up to 102 horsepower at 6,600 rpm, with 12.9 kg-m of torque at 4,800 rpm, The new Honda City CNG offers the unrivalled value of two energy systems, both gasoline and CNG. It meets the Euro 4 pollution control standard, reducing CO2 emissions and pollutants released into the air. The fuel can be easily changed using a switch with the light displaying the use status and gas level to make altering the fuel source controlled by the ECU to offer a precise calculation for proper gas distribution and gas cut-off in case of emergencies. Other key features include the high quality electronic fuel injection, high pressure gas pipe that is made of durable stainless steel, a gas pressure reduction system that regulates gas pressure reduction in conformity with the driving situation and a 65-liter gas tank with a solid barrier to separate the gas tank area from the trunk to maintain clean and clear storage room in the trunk.
Honda city CNG comes with a 5-speed automatic transmission. The electronic Grade Logic Control delivers rapid response and fun to drive performance, together with rack and pinion steering and electronic power steering (EPS). The new Honda City CNG has more efficient road holding capacity as it comes with the front and rear suspension systems that are ideal for the CNG solution to provide good stability and smooth driving. The structure of the rear body is strengthened with a cross bar to enhance driving reliability and a steel stabilizer bar that provides smooth driving in all road conditions. City CNG is designed under “G-CON” collision safety body technology and passed Honda’s collision test standard. Other unique offerings include Dual SRS, ABS and EBD, ensuring complete confidence throughout the journey.
Honda City CNG is a unique and eye-catching sporty automobile with a fully equipped, spacious and comfortable interior. A modern, chromium-lined front console is available in the V model. Both models are equipped with illuminated Blue Light gauges and an Advanced Audio module to provide a fun driving experience.
Honda City CNG comes in two models: the S CNG priced at 659,000 baht and the V CNG priced at 706,000 baht. It is available in six colors including Carnelian Red (Pearl), Sparkling Brown (Metallic), Alabaster Silver (Metallic), Polished Metal Grey (Metallic), Taffeta White and Crystal Black (Pearl).
