Central Pattana Plc., in collaboration with the Research Institute for Health Sciences (RIHES), Chiang Mai University, and partners, recognizes the urgency of PM2.5 air pollution in Northern Thailand. Leveraging health expertise and research, the company is advancing a systematic approach that spans from reducing pollution sources, enhancing air quality management across its business operations, to supporting vulnerable groups.
The company has also launched the regional campaign "Share the Air" to help deliver cleaner air to communities in the North. The initiative invites the public to purchase or donate "Friend Pack" air purifier sets (2 units per set) at four Central shopping centres in Northern ThailandCentral Chiangmai, Central Chiangmai Airport, Central Chiangrai, and Central Lampangfrom now until 30 April 2026. In addition, the public can contribute to the "Fresh Air For Thai" to support children and vulnerable groups in Northern communities, as part of a collective effort to restore cleaner, healthier air for all.

For people in other regions across Thailand, contributions can also be made to the "Fresh Air For Thai," with donations eligible for tax deduction. Donations can be made to account number 566-3-044299 at Siam Commercial Bank, Faculty of Medicine Branch, Chiang Mai University, to support children and vulnerable groups in Northern communities. Furthermore, the company is preparing to provide urgent support to wildfire volunteer units in Northern Thailand as part of its immediate response efforts.
Professor Dr. Kriengkrai Srithanaviboonchai, Director of the Research Institute for Health Sciences, Chiang Mai University, said, "We would like to express our sincere appreciation to Central Pattana and all partners for recognizing the urgency of the PM2.5 issue and for driving systematic solutions to sustainably improve the well-being of people in Northern Thailand. To date, the project has delivered over 2,500 'Clean Air Boxes'DIY air filtration and ventilation unitsand has developed more than 550 dust-free classrooms in child development centers. These efforts have benefited over 18,000 children and 1,700 teachers across Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Mae Hong Son, Lampang, Lamphun, and Nan. The initiative helps reduce exposure to PM2.5 pollution while empowering educational institutions to sustainably produce their own clean air solutions."
To ensure continuity and broader impact, Central Pattana plans to evolve toward a "Creating Shared Value Regional Movement." This initiative aims to elevate its shopping centers in each region and connect its business ecosystem as collaborative platforms, bringing together the public sector, private sector, academia, agricultural communities, and local organizations. Through localized activities and campaigns, the company will also foster public participation, with the goal of transforming the role of the private sector from crisis responder to a regional collaboration platformdriving positive, long-term impact on people's quality of life in a sustainable way.
