Bank of Thailand Governor Dr.Prasarn Trairatvorakul (center) presided over the opening of Bangkok Bank’s Yangon Representative Office in new location at the Chatrium Hotel Royal Lake Yangon in Yangon, Republic of the Union of Myanmar. Dr.Prasarn was welcomed to the ceremony by Ms.Sasima Muneemongkoltorn, Vice President and Manager of the Bangkok Bank International Branch Administration Department (left hand side). Bangkok Bank’s Yangon Representative Office in Myanmar was established with permission of the Central Bank of Myanmar since 1995. With 17 years of experience in doing business in Myanmar and co-operative agreements with two government banks and four private banks in Myanmar, Bangkok Bank is well-positioned to support business links between Myanmar and Thailand with more than one thousand branches in Thailand and extensive international network of 26 offices in 13 different economies: Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Laos, the Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, United Kingdom, the U.S.A., Vietnam, China, Malaysia and Republic of the Union of Myanmar.
