Bangkok--5 Sep--GHC Asia Mr. Vivat Thamchuangviriya (center), Chairman, Millionaire Auto Sales & Services (Thailand) Co., Ltd.., the sole Authorised dealer of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars in Thailand, led his top management team to present garlands to welcome Mr. Torsten Muller-Otvos (5th from left), CEO of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Ltd., UK, and members of the Board on their recent visit to Bangkok. Mr. Muller-Otvos’ visit was to reinforce Rolls-Royce’s commitment to Thailand and its expansion plans in Asia. Rolls-Royce announced that it was planning to add a Boutique in Siam Paragon, Central Bangkok in addition to the recently opened showroom on Rama 3. All cars are hand-built by master craftspersons at The Home of Rolls-Royce in Goodwood, England. It takes 60 pairs of hands between one and six months to build a Rolls-Royce motor car, in a tireless pursuit of quality echoing the famous words of company founder, Sir Henry Royce: “Strive for perfection in everything you do. Take the best that exists and make it better. When it does not exist design it.” Rolls-Royce Motor Cars achieved record sales results for 2011. 3,538 cars were sold globally during the year, a 31 per cent increase on the 2010 total of 2,711 cars. The figure represents the best sales result in the company’s 108-year history; the previous record of 3,347 cars having been set in 1978 during the Silver Shadow II era. Strong sales growth was reported across the globe, particularly in the Asia Pacific (up 47%), North America (up 17%) and the Middle East (up 23%). China and the United States were the most significant individual markets for Rolls-Royce. At present there are a total of 28 dealerships in the Asia Pacific region.
