Bangkok--11 Sep--SET The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) aims to boost opportunities for youth to learn financial discipline by holding SET Junior Financial Club 2012 (SET JFC 2012) for the 11th straight year, under the theme “Young generation cares for finances: Knows how to earn, to keep, to spend, and to add returns,” expecting to draw interest from more than 2,000 high-school students. SET gives emphasis to the young generation as they will be the country’s mainspring. Thus, helping them learn basic financial management skills is an important base to cultivate into youth continuously through SET JFC, one of SET’s corporate social responsibility activities to support education and enhance learning among youth, said SET President Charamporn Jotikasthira. “This year’s SET JFC will be a bigger-than-ever event to open opportunities for youth in junior high and high schools to learn via day-long activities on how to earn, keep, spend, and add returns. They will also be able to experience successful financial management. We truly hope this activity will boost inspiration among youth so that they understand the idea of using financial planning for the daily lives of themselves and their families,” Charamporn added. This year’s SET JFC will be held on November 9 in Chiangmai and November 23-24 in Bangkok. To join in the activity, students can apply from now to October 31 free of charge.
