COMO Hotels and Resorts, comprising luxury properties across Asia, UK and the Caribbean, is continuing its collaboration with MasterCard through the Purchase with Purpose program for third consecutive year. It is encouraging travelers who stay at each of their nine hotels and resorts to settle their bill with a MasterCard card as MasterCard will be donating US$30 to various community projects for every transaction made between 1 October 2012 and 31 December 2012.
COMO Hotels and Resorts, has supported the MasterCard Purchase with Purpose program since 2010, and has raised a total of US$ 75,580 (approximately 2.2 million baht) to date. In a year, COMO supports a variety of community projects in each of its locations, some of which have been long-term partners. In Thailand, the donation will support the Goodwill Group Foundation, a Bangkok-based Thai charity providing skills training and career services to under-educated young women who have moved to the capital in search of work.
MasterCard cardholders can enjoy custom-made luxury travel experiences and contribute to a good cause through the Purchase with Purpose program when paying with their MasterCard cards at nine luxury COMO properties including Cocoa Island by COMO, Maldives; Parrot Cay by COMO, Turks and Caicos; The Halkin, by COMO, London; Metropolitan by COMO, London and Bangkok; Uma by COMO, Ubud, Bali; Uma by COMO Paro and Punakha, Bhutan and COMO Shambhala Estate, Bali.
