Amata B.Grimm Power, one of Thailand’s biggest Small Power Producers (SPPs), receives the ‘EAI Monitoring Awards of 2011’ as one of the best environmental compliance companies from the Office of Natural Resources and Environmental Policy and Planning, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment.
The Office of Natural Resources and Environmental Policy and Planning has organized the ‘EAI Monitoring Awards’ event since 1994. This year’s 13th annual event was attended by various enterprises from all sectors including public, private and state enterprises organizations. 62 enterprises, out of 92 nominees, have been selected to receive the awards. Amata B.Grimm Power 1 and 2 are among the 16 energy projects, which have been awarded for its environmental friendly management. Amata B. Grimm Power 1 and Amata B.Grimm Power 2 supply 170 MW and 180 MW of electricity to EGAT and more than 300 industrial companies in Chonburi industrial estate.
The awarded projects are the selected enterprises, which have been complied with the EIA reports regularly as well as capable of managing the environment surrounding the project sites efficiently, in particular, the nearby communities. Amata B.Grimm Power has set up the pollution control system, which comprises of water, air, noise and industrial waste pollution management.
