Bangkok--15 Oct--Grayling (Thailand)
TICONIndustrial Connection PLC (TICON) has topped the prestigious Euromoney Magazine annual ratings of real estate Industrial/Warehouse Developers in Thailand in 2012.
In the magazine’s eight annual Real Estate Survey more than 1,900 real estate developers, advisors, investment managers, corporate end-users and banks from around the world ranked TICON as the leading industrial and warehouse developer ahead of other companies such as Hemaraj, Amata, and Rojana Industrial Park.
In addition to winning the industrial warehouse section, TICON also came second to the Central Group in the category of ‘overall developer’.
“We are delighted to have received this recognition from clients, professionals, advisors and bankers in the industrial warehouse sector,” said Mr. VirapanPulges, TICON Managing Director.
“We have been developing factories for clients for around 20 years, but our pioneering move into developing logistics parks in Thailand has been a big factor in our increased presence and profile in recent years.”
TICON introduced the concept of logistics parks to Thailand when it opened TPARK Bangna in 2006. Since then it has purchased and developed 16 strategic locations on the outskirts of Bangkok and the Eastern Seaboard, and will complete an additional 200,000 sq m of logistics warehouses this year.
“We have been particularly successful in developing new sites on the Eastern Seaboard and Laemchabang and the demand for sites in these locations continues to be very strong.”
It is not the first time TICON has been recognized for its performance in Euromoney surveys. In 2005 TICONwas named Developer of the Year for Thailand in Euromoney's Real Estate Awards. Then in 2008 the company won the award for the best Industrial/Warehouse developer in Thailand and followed that up in 2009 by being ranked first amongst Thai developers in the Euromoney Real Estate Awards.
