Bangkok--25 Oct--SET
The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) is committed to match the right financial opportunities for investors and depositors by planning to build learning center, or museum, of the Thai capital market in order to educate investment and savings for investors and the public.
The center or museum, to be located on 1,000 square meters at the new SET head office, will be focused on a “Discovery Experience Center” concept which will be prominent, creative, and fun in order to inspire audiences for savings and investment as they educate themselves through learning media innovations with cutting-edge presentation techniques, said SET President Charamporn Jotikasthira.
“The learning center, or in form of modern museum, will tell stories of financial management literacy that teach viewers how to seek, keep, and use their money. The center aims to offer knowledge to boost savings using financial tools and to present the roles and key developments of the Thai capital market. To inspire creativity in designing the center’s building, SET will hold a competition for the public to design and create financial and investment ideas for the center in various forms, under the concept of “Know, understand, and create inspiration to invest in the capital market,” such as using motion pictures, narration, short movies, websites, or mock-ups. to win 10 awards worth THB 50,000 each and get books on finance and investment,” said Charamporn.
In addition, SET will hold a workshop for contestants, titled “Presentation of creative techniques for financial and investment knowledge,” to give basic knowledge of financial and investment management by experts on Sunday, November 11, 2012 at 0930-16.00 hours at SET building.
