Designer Simon Rawlings of David Collins Studio flown in to share information on The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Bangkok’s unique design
PACE Development Corporation Public Co., Ltd., the company behind the Bht19 billion 77-storey mixed-use super luxury development, the MahaNakhon - The Ritz-Carlton Residences Bangkok, in conjunction with Siam Commercial Bank (SCB), recently hosted ‘Living By Design, featuring The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Bangkok’. Held exclusively for SCB private banking customers at the MahaNakhon Pavilion, the privileged guests were given a glimpse of the ultra-luxury residences. Flown in for the occasion to explain the inspiration behind the interior architecture was famed British designer Simon Rawlings of David Collins Studio - the project advisor.
Enjoying the specially created menu by the chef of Dean & DeLuca were SCB’s distinguished customers, including Dr.Nahathai Thewphaingarm, Dr. Nattakrit Thewphaingarm, Khun Warasaya Phanthusak, Khun Teerus Boon-Long, Khun Natee Panichewa, and Capt. Jitas Soraspngkram.

“One of the key elements in the design of The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Bangkok is the close attention to detail,” said interior designer Simon Rawling. “During the design process, we incorporated Thailand’s unique lifestyle with local craftsmanship of international standard, using the best quality materials from overseas.”
Mr. Rawlings added, “We chose ‘Classic Contemporary’ as the interior design concept inspired by the elegant high-rise residences in Manhattan, New York. We used a lot of Thai silk and leather for that added Thai presence. What is most important, this super luxury development features intelligent use of space while maintaining the best combination of convenience and luxury. For example, the dining section in the skybox pixel of the building provides a rare and awe-inspiring 270-degree view of Bangkok’s skyline adding to the surprise factor that is beyond description.”
