Mr. Supoj Mahapan, International Services Business Director of True Corporation, received good news from WBA (Wireless Broadband Alliance), the World’s leading telecommunications provider association, that True Corporation is the sole Thai telecommunications company that has been short-listed for the world class “Best Next Generation Hotspot (NGH) Initiative Award” at the WBA WiFi Global Congress which is to be held next month in U.S.A. The nomination is a result of the pioneer project “Next Generation Hotspot (NGH)”, the first public trial of WBA’s Next Generation Hotspot in Asia held by TrueMove H in collaboration with Cisco. Next Generation Hotspot is an innovative technology that allows seamless connectivity between WiFi and 3G via the SIM card for users to experience convenient mobile Internet services. The “Best Next Generation Hotspot (NGH) Initiative Award” recognizes the pioneering of NGH deployment initiatives based on the PasspointTM certified equipment. The WBA is the founder of the WiFi Industry Awards and is also responsible for the conception of the Next Generation Hotspot (NGH) program.
