Ford Launches All-New Territory and All-New Ranger Petrol at Thailand International Motor Expo 2012, Announces Pricing
- A new 2.5L petrol variant of the all-new Ford Ranger launches today, priced at THB 609,000
- Ford also launches its Australian-built premium SUV, the all-new Territory, for THB 2.99 million
- All customers placing an order for all Fiesta and all-new Ranger models will be entered into a lucky draw for THB100,000 cash among other prizes
Ford Motor Company today launched two new models to kick-off the 29th Thailand International Motor Expo, including the all-new Ranger 2.5L petrol variant, and Australian-built, all-new Ford Territory 2.7L premium SUV.
Adding to the range of class-defining all-new Ford Ranger, the 2.5L petrol variant is available for THB 609,000.
With a Duratec 2.5L VCT petrol engine that delivers class-leading 166HP and 226Nm torque, the all-new Ford Ranger 2.5L uses independent variable cam technology for enhanced performance and fuel economy. It is engineered to reliably use E20 fuel and minimize emissions.
Offering customers the comfort they want upfront and best-in-class payload capacity in the back, this petrol variant continues to expand the popularity of the all-new Ranger, which has now surpassed 37,500 customer bookings since being launched in Thailand.
Following an overwhelming response from consumers at the Bangkok International Motor Show in March, Ford is launching the Australian-built, all-new Ford Territory premium SUV. This luxurious vehicle, which has the versatility of a SUV with car-like dynamics, is available in for THB 2,990,000.
The seven-seat Territory features a 2.7L TDCi V6 VG Turbo diesel engine with six-speed automatic transmission that delivers 190HP and class-leading 440 Nm of torque.
To help celebrate the all-new Territory’s Thai market launch, Patee Sarasin will appear at the Ford stand on Saturday, December 1, and will also serve as spokesperson for the Territory’s marketing campaign in Thailand.
Ford is also displaying a total of six nameplates to match a spectrum of Thai consumers. They include the class-leading all-new Ford Focus, all-new Ford Ranger, all-new Ford Territory, Ford Fiesta, Ford Escape and Ford Everest.
Interactive stand
The Ford stand also features an electrifying SYNC? live dance show, as well as a variety of interactive zones to reflect Ford’s commitment to its brand pillars of Quality, Green, Safe and Smart.
These include the ‘After-Sales Service’ zone, where visitors are able to experience the all-new Ford Focus from a completely new angle. The vehicle is flipped on its side and Ford technicians will take consumers through the detailed process of servicing this smart technology-packed vehicle.
In addition to the After-Sales Service zone representing Quality, highlights include the Smart area, featuring the technologies of the all-new Ford Focus.
A graphic wall tells the smart tech stories of the vehicle, while a Ford SYNC display unit gives visitors a hands-on experience with this award-winning, next-generation voice-activated connectivity system.
Visitors can also test their gaming skills with the interactive Microsoft Kinect? Reverse Park Assist game, which demonstrates how the all-new Ford Focus’s first-in-market Active Park Assist technology works.
Finally, Ford is providing a photographer on the stand each day to capture special moments with visitors and upload them to the Ford Thailand Facebook page.
Special Holiday Offers at the Motor Expo
Ford announced special offers on Ford vehicles at the Motor Expo and Ford dealerships throughout the country through the end of the year.
All customers booking an all-new Ford Ranger or Ford Fiesta will be entered in a lucky draw with a chance to win THB 100,000.
Ford is also providing a special offer on the all-new Focus 1.6L Ti-VCT with a Scheduled Service Plan of three years or 60,000km warranty. Free first-class insurance for one-year will also be provided for all customers booking an all-new Ford Focus.
