-LINE Games sweep the top 3 places in the Top Free Apps chart in App Stores in 6 countries
NHN Japan released 4 mobile games through LINE, the world’s leading mobile messenger, with social network service, on Monday, November 19 and conquered the global game market just one day after the game releases.
LINE POP, a puzzle game that is patterned with cute LINE characters, achieved 3 million downloads within one day since its release. Moreover, LINE PATAPOKO ANIMAL and LINE Cartoon Wars achieved 2 million downloads and 1.7 million downloads, respectively.
Since their releases, LINE games swept the first 3 spots in the Top Free Apps chart in App Stores in 6 countries, including Japan, Taiwan, Thailand, Hong Kong, Malaysia and Indonesia. More specifically, LINE POP is ranked number 1, while LINE PATAPOKO ANIMAL is second and LINE Cartoon Wars is third.
Moreover, LINE Homerun Battle Burst ranks number 4 in the Top Free Apps chart in App Stores in Taiwan and Thailand, and is putting up a good fight in the global market.
As the first LINE game, LINE Birzzle was introduced on July 4, 2012 and it hit 2 million users globally in just one day since its release and reached 10 million downloads in just 97 days. NHN Japan plans to deploy more than 10 LINE games by the end of this year to live up to users’ expectations and provide more fun communication experience.
