Bangkok--4 Dec--Samutprakarn International Ladies Club
The Samutprakarn International Ladies Club (SILC) and Celebrity Chef Chumpol Jangprai, Thai Culinary Director of Anantara Hotels, Resorts and Spas and Thailand’s Iron Chef for Thai cuisine, recently launched the first edition of “Bilingual Bites”, an international recipe collection in Thai and English at Trader Vic's, Anantara Bangkok Resort Riverside & Spa, one of the main sponsors of the book.
The Bilingual Bites cookbook is a fundraising project initiated by SILC to offer a culinary trip around the world by bringing together over 100 tantalising international recipes contributed by SILC members, including several favourite Thai recipes by the Iron Chef winner Chef Chumpol Jangprai. Sales of the book will provide funds for SILC’s ongoing involvement with several local schools and projects to enhance the lives of children from poor communities.
Samutprakarn International Ladies Club (SILC) is a non-profit organisation run by a committee drawn from membership, comprising 26 nationalities who live (mostly) in the district of Samutprakarn, which is located in the south-eastern suburbs of Bangkok.
