The Ministry of Information and Communication Technology of Thailand — represented by ICT Minister Gp. Capt. Anudith Nakornthap (third from left) and Permanent Secretary Mr. Chaiyan Peungkiatpairote (second from left) — and Huawei Technologies (Thailand) — led by Managing Director Mr. Chen Rui (second from right) — signed a memorandum of understanding covering the provision of educational support programs and materials for the ICT industry in a ceremony witnessed by H.E. Guan Mu (third from right), Ambassador of the People’ s Republic of China to Thailand.
Under the MOU, Huawei will be providing 2,000 hours of ICT training to students and the general public at academic institutes, community ICT learning centers, and other target organizations across a period of 4 years in an effort to support the government-initiated “Smart Thailand” project. Additionally, Huawei will also supply lecturers, learning aids, and opportunities for outstanding students to participate in internship programs.
