Get ready for a great event this coming February! The Tamnak Prathom Harp Centre, together with the Department of Cultural Promotion is holding a ‘Let’s sing, Let’s Dance’ festival all afternoon on Saturday 9th February 2013 at the grounds of the Thailand Cultural Centre.
Starting from 2pm will be an exhibition showcasing harps of all sizes, including the legendary Chudadhuj harp, the first harp of Thailand. A once in lifetime opportunity for everyone to try their hands on the harp under the guidance of our harp students. Follow by a mini concert ‘Songs from Our School Books’ by the Harp Centre’s students and teachers that will surely delight your afternoon.
Not to be missed is the Songs from the Harp Strings concert series, ‘Harps Greatest Hits’ featuring many new and well loved repertoires of the harp, starting 7.30pm at the small auditorium. Special guests include Paye Thaweewet Srinarong who will be acting as our compere and perform a duo violin and harp pieces by Piazzolla. Next, is the Viemus Chamber Octet who will perform with the harps for the first time.
