Bangkok--18 Feb--Bangkok Bank
Bangkok Bank Vice Chairman Deja Tulananda (3rd from right) and President Chartsiri Sophonpanich (4th from right) signed a 5.4 billion Baht loan contract with Thai Solar Energy (TSE) Chairman Pracha Maleenont (3rd from left) and Chief Operating Officer Catherine Maleenont (4th from left) last Friday to invest in the construction of two (2) phases of the 10 projects of photovoltaic solar power plants, with production capacity of 80 megawatts. Also joining the event were Bangkok Bank Director Piti Sithi-Amnuai (2nd from right) and Senior Executive Vice President Chansak Fuangfu (right). The construction signifies one of several major projects implemented under the energy policy of the country by which renewable energy is to be substantiated; the said policy has also garnered warm welcome and support by the Thai government in every possible format to such an extent that it has been determined as a national agenda. Moreover, the policy for renewable energy should be of importance to Thailand’s energy stability as a result of diversifying the use of electricity-generating in long term. It is therefore another great opportunity for Bangkok Bank to become part of the said (overall) project. This truly serves as an epitome of Bangkok Bank’s ongoing support for Thailand’s energy stability and energy development from here to the future.
