JSL and KASIKORNBANK have teamed up to introduce “The Expert — Dream Inspiring Phenomenon”, an edutainment reality show, offering celebrities’ experiences and useful advice from financial experts. This show, scheduled to air on TV Channel 5 each Sunday at 10:40 p.m., is the first of its kind in Thailand and is aimed at encouraging people to save money and reduce household debt. In support of this effort, KBank is also boosting the number of K-Experts to 2,500 at branches across the country.
KASIKORNBANK Executive Vice President Mr. Pakorn Partanapat said the K-Experts of the Bank serve customers under the advisory banking concept. They offer advice and encourage savings among customers and the general public in different forms, building upon the Bank’s image of being a financial advisory leader. With the cooperation of JSL Global Media Co., Ltd., “The Expert — Dream Inspiring Phenomenon” will be Thailand’s first edutainment reality show in the area of finance.
The show will be based on KBank’s financial advisory prowess, and its ability to cater to different demands of diverse customer segments. JSL’s experience and reputation for quality TV production will help communicate knowledge with target groups in an entertaining manner, thus making serious financial matters simpler for viewers to grasp. This show will inspire those who wish to pursue their dreams, but lack experience in planning and savings management. Financial advisors and experienced persons will be there to consult and provide their views, so that all dreams may come true.
Apart from this show, Mr. Pakorn added that KASIKORNBANK will boost the number of K-Experts from 1,200 to 2,500 at branches nationwide, to offer advice on financial and savings matters. K-Experts can also be contacted via www.askkbank.com/k-expert, a needs-based guidebook, and now via the television show. Through “The Expert — Dream Inspiring Phenomenon”, KASIKORNBANK wishes to create a distinctive financial advisory service, which will align with the specific demands of each customer.
K-Expert aims to become the first choice for customers who need financial advice, with an in-depth communication strategy focused on customer needs, and a TV program that presents K-Expert service information. Through this and other efforts, KBank will be able to become the main bank for all retail customer segments in all areas nationwide.
JSL Global Media CEO Mr. Vachara Vaewuthinand said KBank and JSL Global Media have cooperated on several fronts including the show platform, as well as the selection of “dream inspirers” who are the main focus of the show to represent the dreams of most people. Most importantly, their dreams will be fulfilled with advice in financial planning provided by the K-Expert team and opinions from experienced professionals.
“We want ‘The Expert — Dream Inspiring Phenomenon’ to encourage everyone to make their dreams come true. The dream inspirers’ dreams are simply what most people want. For example, newlywed couples want homes, businesses want vehicles for their operations, and everyone wants the tours they’ve dreamed of. The reality show will focus on obstacles faced by these dream inspirers as they fulfill their dreams. When things go wrong, how do they manage to continue and finally become able to make their dreams come true? This can be achieved with advisory assistance from experienced professionals and financial experts. The show will be intense, with all sensations, knowledge, and entertainment for viewers,” he said.
“The Expert — Dream Inspiring Phenomenon” show will air on TV Channel 5 every Sunday at 10:40 — 11:40 p.m., totaling 14 episodes, all of them moderated by Mr. Wannasingh Prasertkul. Twelve dreamers from all walks of life will share their stories of dream inspiring phenomenon which can come true, with a financial advisory team led by KASIKORNBANK First Senior Vice President Mr. Thawee Teerasoontornwong and the K-Expert team. Actors, actresses, other celebrities and experienced professionals will join the show to offer their opinions. On March 10, Mr. Buakaw Banchamek, a Thai Boxing tournament champion, will be the show’s first dream inspirer.
Mr. Pakorn said this is hoped to be the starting point to inspire Thais to pay more attention to their savings in order to reduce consistently-rising household debt, currently amounting to THB2.9 trillion, which is a concern of the government and may become the country’s long-term problem. With savings, recurring and fast-growing debt can be minimized.
