Mazda Sales (Thailand) Co. Ltd. (MST) is moving ahead with marketing offense in Thailand, especially at the upcoming Bangkok International Motor Show. The company is planning to create even more excitement in order to stress Mazda’s brand exclusivity. This includes total revamp in booth design reflecting the Zoom-Zoom concept as well as clearly delivering the true Mazda identity, giving visitors new experiences while visiting the Mazda booth.
In addition the second highlight at this year’s event is the prototype version of the Mazda CX-5. The CX-5, the first Mazda model to features Mazda’s expressive “KODO” design language first applied in the Mazda SHINARI concept car. The Mazda CX-5 has been taking over the global market with its outstanding design as well as eco-friendliness, and Mazda is now ready to launch it in Thailand later this year.
The third highlight at the Mazda booth this year is the launch of the Mazda2 Limited Edition that features a sports premium concept, and all three highlights will be creating excitement to visitors at the Bangkok International Motor Show starting from March 27.
The Mazda CX-5 prototype to be unveiled at the Bangkok Motor Show for the first time in Thailand is based on the Mazda MINAGI concept that was also displayed at the event last year. The MINAGI features the “KODO: Soul of Motion” design language that expresses movement with forceful vitality and speed as the design theme for Mazda's upcoming models. The CX-5 is the first Mazda model to feature KODO design and have been able to generate strong interest from customers around the world.
Mr. Choichi Yuki, Managing Director of MST, said, “Due to the strong customer interest, we are unable to keep our best product under our sleeves until the scheduled launch period. Today we are unable to withstand those calls, and we have decided to present future model to the Thai people today, with the Thailand debut of the Mazda CX-5 prototype, which comes with a large number of new technologies in design and engineering.” He added that the production version of the CX-5 will be officially launched in Thailand later this year.
MST Marketing Director Sureetip La-Ongthong Chomthongdee said that apart from bringing the CX-5 prototype for the Thai people to experience and understand its technology, Mazda will also offer the Mazda2 Limited Edition which comes with genuine Mazda design including LED headlamps, front grille, rear skirt with diffusor, chrome door openers, “Limited Edition: decal, stainless muffler, short radio antenna, 16-inch alloy wheels in polished silver. Inside the car, there are black fabric upholstery with red stitching and Mazda2 logo and black leather-covered steering wheel red stitching. Three body colors are available for the Mazda2 Limited Edition — Zeal Red Mica, Arctic White and Black Mica. Prices range from Bt686,000 for the 4-door Elegance model to Bt691,000 for the 5-door sports hatchback.
“In addition, Mazda is also giving away a very special promotion, especially for the BT-50 pickup truck that is doing very well in the market, with retail price starting at only Bt589,000, interest starting at 1.99%, she said.
Meanwhile, the Mazda2 promotion includes a choice of Bt22,000 minimum down payment or 1.79% interest, and Mazda3 customers can choose between Bt33,000 down payment or 33-satang interest. Buyers of MX-5 and CX-9 premium models also get special sales promotions including 2.45% interest and free first-class insurance, and Mazda has decided to also throw in a 3-year/100,000km free maintenance package as well. Every Mazda vehicle also comes with 1-year firth-class insurance. The offers are valid until April 7.
