Bangkok--22 Mar--DC Consultants One of the most influential and celebrated personalities of modern times was honoured at Madame Tussauds Bangkok today as the attraction commemorated the late Steve Jobs with a new wax figure. Be sure not to miss it as the figure will be exhibited in Thailand only three months at Madame Tussauds Bangkok on the 6th floor of Siam Discovery Centre. The creative genius behind the iPod, iPhone and iPad touched and inspired millions of people. A group of fans including ‘C — Chatpawee Trichachawanwong’ or ‘IT Princess’, and the renowned IT TV programme host, ‘Thee Wanichnunthatada’ were invited to be the first to meet Jobs’ figure and pay tribute to him on a specially created message board. Over the next three months guests will be invited to post simple thoughts or reflections inspired by Jobs on a life size photograph of the new figure. They will also get the opportunity to take mobile phone photos of themselves with the wax figure of Jobs and post the shot on a special Madame Tussauds Facebook picture wall. Noppadon Prapimpunt, Head of Bangkok Cluster, Merlin Entertainments Group was delighted to welcome the new figure to the attraction today. “Steve Jobs’ inventions have changed the face of modern technology. He has inspired and influenced millions of people and undoubtedly deserves a place here. We are happy we can give the public the opportunity to pay tribute to somebody who has helped shape their world,” said Noppadon. Jobs is portrayed in his trademark relaxed style, wearing a black cotton turtle neck, Levi 501 jeans and New Balance trainers. The pose, inspired by photographs taken at the shoot for his famous Fortune Magazine front cover in 2006, shows Jobs with arms casually folded in front of him, head tilted slightly and with a warm smile. He also wears replicas of his custom made Lunor spectacles. The figure will be featured in the Arts and Sciences area of Madame Tussauds Bangkok and Jobs will rub shoulders with famous people such as Albert Einstein, Pablo Picasso, Ludwig van Beethoven, Dr. Pornthip Rojanasunan and Professor Silpa Bhirasri. The likeness of the World’s most famous technology pioneer was created entirely by hand using technology techniques over 200 years old. The figure took a dedicated team of sculptors and hair and colour artists three months to create. The figure is on a tour of three Madame Tussauds venues in Asia and previously visited Hong Kong and Shanghai. Special promotion!!
