Bangkok--26 Mar--Francom Asia Hermes tells the tale of timebeneath the graceful arch of a dainty moon. To mark its 35th anniversar y, the iconic Arceau model designed by Henri d’Origny welcomes a horological complication displaying the moon phases. Interpreted in a more feminine version with a 38 mm diameter, the Arceau Petite Lune reveals a round steel case featuring asymmetrical lugs evoking the shape and curve of a stirrup — a motif that has become a signature of the Maison Herm?s. This collection comprises two versions with a shimmering white or black mother-of- pearl. The hours are elegantly marked off on sloping Arabic numerals reflecting the original model and extending a graceful invitation to discover time. The Arceau Petite Lune displays the hours and minutes, along with two complications delicately framed by a rhodiumed ornamental fillet: moon phases, which appear on a deep blue disc with silvered moon and stars; and a pointer-type date indication which marks off the days of the lunar cycles. Its mechanical self-winding movement is complemented by a module serving to power the moon-phase indication. Endowed with a 42-hour power reserve, its plates and bridges are circular-grained and snailed, while its oscillating weight is adorned with a C?tes de Gen?ve motif. Loyal to the Herm?s saddle-making expertise, this timepiece is teamed with an alligator strap available in three colours — indigo blue, elephant grey or black, crafted in the company workshops using the saddle-stitching technique.
