Responding to the government’s call for all social stakeholders to join forces and cut electricity, Bangkok Bank PCL will commence a campaign to conserve energy.For this period more than 20,000 bank executives and staff will leave their business suits and ties at home and dress in short-sleeved shirts, while all Bangkok Bank offices and branches nationwide will set the air-conditioning at 26 degree Celsius. During the campaign, Bangkok Bank staff will ensure electricity equipment will only be used as necessary and will otherwise be unplugged, with switches turned off after use, as well as during lunch time and after office hours.The lifts and tap water will be used as required. The Bank expresses confidence that this internal collaboration will contribute to the national reduction in electricity and energy use and help the country to smoothly weather the conservation period.
