Photo Release: “68 Years of Krungsri, 68 Scholarships” weaving student’s dreams to graduation

Bangkok--2 Apr--Bank of Ayudhya Mr. Veraphan Teepsuwan (center), Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mrs. Janice Van Ekeren, Chief Executive Officer, and Mr. Philip Tan, President, Bank of Ayudhya Plc., co-presided at a scholarship presentation called “68 Years of Krungsri, 68 Scholarships”, with 68 student from seven schools in Bangkok to celebrate the 68th anniversary of Krungsi’s establishment. The 68 scholarships will support the children until university level or higher. The ceremony was held at the Bank of Ayudhya Plc. on Rama III Road. The educational support is in line with the bank’s policy and operational guidelines which affirm its dedication to creating benefits for society as part of its business engagement. The bank is determined to act as a driving force to create opportunities for underprivileged young people so that they can overcome obstacles, physically, mentally as well as in terms of their living conditions. To help these children to strive toward successful futures, the bank selected 68 students based on their educational achievements and behavior from seven institutions in Bangkok. They included the Home for Infants in Slums; Foundation for the Blind in Thailand (under Royal Patronage of H.M. the Queen); Sri Sangwal School; Setthasathian School (under Royal Patronage); Pakkred Home for Children with Disabilities; Rajvithi Home for Girls; and Ban Maharaj, a foster home under the Maharaj Foundation.
