The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) announces 458 listed companies, categorized according to the seven awards available, which are qualified to compete for "SET Awards 2013," on the 10th anniversary of this major event, so that they have more time to prepare themselves to win 36 awards in November.
The event is co-hosted by Money & Banking Magazine. To reflect the capital market’s growth, this year’s candidates have been divided into five groups by market capitalization size — over THB 50 billion, THB 20-50 billion, THB 10-20 billion, THB 2-10 billion, and below THB 2 billion -- applied only for three awards — Best Company Performance, Best Investor Relations Awards, and Best Corporate Social Responsibility.
SET President Charamporn Jotikasthira said: “The contest panel has agreed to revise the grouping to reflect the great growth of the Thai capital market by setting intervals based on market cap, enabling large- and small-sized companies to show their potential and compete more fairly. In addition, one more award for companies on the Market for Alternative Investment (mai) will be created — the Good CG Report award-- in line with the rising number of mai listings.”
This year's awards are in seven categories, consisting of the Best CEO, Best Company Performance, Top Corporate Governance Report, Best Investor Relations, Best Corporate Social Responsibility, Best Securities Company, and Best Asset Management Company Awards. There are SET Awards of Honor as well for those who have won in their category continuously. TRIS Corporation Limited will do the evaluation for the sixth consecutive year under the direction of a panel of distinguished judges.
