ASCOTT RAISES 250,000 BAHT FOR THAI RED CROSS CHILDREN’S HOME

Bangkok--10 Apr--Ascott Supports educational, healthcare and developmental needs of underprivileged children for second consecutive year The Ascott Limited (Ascott), the world’s largest international serviced residence owner-operator, has raised 250,000 Baht for the Thai Red Cross Children’s Home. The donation will go towards supporting the educational, healthcare and developmental needs of orphans under the care of the Home. This is the second consecutive year that Ascott has supported the Thai Red Cross Children’s Home. In 2012, Ascott also presented 250,000 Baht to the Home, making a total of 500,000 Baht donated in 2012 and 2013. The funds were raised through the sale of Christmas key cards to residents and staff at Ascott’s serviced residences in Bangkok. Mr Mark Chan, Ascott’s Country General Manager for Thailand, said: “Reaching out to underprivileged children is one of the ways Ascott gives back to the community. We hope that our contribution will help to improve the lives of the children and create a better future for them. We would like to thank our residents and staff for making our fundraising campaigns successful.” Apart from the donation, Ascott’s staff visited the Thai Red Cross Children’s Home where they engaged the children through activities and also presented gifts such as water dispenser, sports apparel, socks, food and snacks to them.
