For summer 2013, l’Eau d’Issey and l’Eau d’Issey pour Homme are reinventing themselves and carrying us away toward new evocations of scents, flavours and colours.
This year, we discover the juicy, sparkling sweetness of exotic fruit.
The contrasts, the game of hide-and-seek.
To enhance these contrasts and make the discovery even more delicious, the two original fragrances have been reinterpreted by Alberto Morillas, Master Perfumer at Firmenich.
L’Eau d’Issey Summer Eau de toilette 100 ml. 2,600 baht
Alberto Morillas “translated” these different fruity facets, bright colours and textures into perfume.
For the top notes, he tapped into the tangy notes of pink grapefruit and litchi.
He then skilfully blended their vibrant freshness with the sparkling accents of passion fruit and guava in the middle notes.
Finally, to enrich all of these flavours with a feminine touch, they are softened with very subtly aquatic floral notes before mixing into the fullness of woods and a vanilla infusion.

Mirroring the women’s version, the perfumer chose to evoke the bursting freshness of kiwi combined with spicy, fruity notes. Coriander and slightly bitter grapefruit set the tone right from the start. The middle accord features two equally vibrant and masculine notes: pineapple and nutmeg.
To these fruits and spices Alberto Morillas added woods, bringing verticality and depth. The resulting trail is sensual and resonant thanks to a vetiver-cypress duo.
But at Issey Miyake, everything conveys the poetry of shapes and sensations. Exotic fruit coupled with water under sunny summer skies cannot be evoked without an explosion of colours.
Both bottles have therefore kept their iconic silhouette, but on the glass and the box, stylised drawings of the fruit that inspired the perfumer are revealed.
Bright pink dragon fruit and intense green kiwi both contrast against a white background with their smiling, impressionist look.
Now, all we have to do is take a bite out these exotic fruits by Issey Miyake.
