DHL Express, the world’s leading international express provider, celebrates 40 years of service excellence and market leadership in Thailand. DHL Express Thailand kick-started the year-long celebration with a private gala dinner reception held for 400 of its valued customers in the country.
Pioneering Thailand’s logistics scene since 1973, DHL Express’ business has grown by leaps and bounds. A market leader in the Thai logistics industry, the company has a strong team comprising over 800 International Specialists who service more than 20,000 customers in the country. Bangkok is one of DHL’s key hubs in Asia Pacific along with Hong Kong, Singapore and Shanghai.

The past 40 years have been charted by significant moments for DHL Express Thailand; where the company has forged strategic partnerships and continued to assist local SMEs penetrate the global market. Viewed as an important logistics hub for the region, DHL has invested over EUR19 million in the past seven years in Thailand. An additional EUR4.5 million (approximately 180 million baht) will be invested in 2013 to further expand its distribution and SERVICE POINT footprint across the country. This is DHL’s service promise to continuously provide quality service and convenience to customers
Commenting on the outlook for 2013, Chananyarak Phetcharat, Managing Director, DHL Express Thailand and Indochina, added, “We continue to be very optimistic about our business opportunities in Thailand and the rising prominence that the country is taking in the region, especially as we move towards the integration entailed in the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC).
