Bangkok--30 Apr--Krungthai Card KTC boosts spending while helping members with their expenses this summer school break with cashback for the daily routine categories and less restriction on establishments and locations where the transaction takes place. Under the “Happy All-Around at Every Gas Station and Supermarket Nationwide with up to 5% Cashback” campaign, members can earn up to 5% cashback on their spending at gas stations and supermarkets during May 1st and July 31st, 2013, provided that the total monthly spending amount is achieved. The campaign is expected to be popular among members and capable of driving the spending in these categories up by 15%. Mr. Piyasak Tejasane, Senior Executive Vice President - Products and Distribution Channels, “KTC” or Krungthai Card Public Company Limited, said “Our ‘Happy Go Lucky’ marketing strategy is developed to bring happiness to members this year of 2013. Beginning from earlier this year, we have had the ‘Anywhere, Anyday Surprise’ program and the special activity on the 13th of every month. Those have been well received by our members. There are 1.6 million KTC credit cards issued currently. Total credit card spending in 2012 was 116,236 Million Baht with gas station as the top spending category, followed by supermarkets (Cash Advance excluded). These two categories combine to 21% of the total spending portfolio or 1,750 Million Baht per month. In the first quarter of 2013, the two spending categories continued to rank at the top with continuous growth over the same period of 2012.” “For the second quarter of this year, in order to bring some smiles to the members and to help shoulder their burden during this school break, we have developed a new campaign titled ‘Happy All-Around at Every Gas Station and Supermarket Nationwide with up to 5% Cashback’ to run from May 1st to July 31st, 2013. There will be no limitation as to the participating establishment, the credit card used or the location. All members have to do is achieved the specified amount of spending. Registered members will be entitled to 5% cashback of the amount spent at gas stations and supermarkets nationwide provided that they spend 800 Baht per sales slip at any Bangchak, PTT, Caltex, Esso and Shell gas station anywhere in the country or 1,000 Baht per sales slip at Tops Supermarket, Tops Market, Home Fresh Mart, Gourmet Market, Watson, Tesco Lotus and Big C Supercenter, plus collective of 12,000 Baht or more from spending elsewhere with a KTC credit card. Those with collective credit card spending of 6,000 Baht or more will be entitled to 4% cashback.
