Bangkok--30 Apr--Bangkok Bank Bangkok Bank and Australia and New Zealand Banking Group Limited (ANZ) in Australia are inviting students planning to study in Australia (and their parents) to transfer funds from Thailand by opening a deposit account in Australian dollars with ANZ.They can do this by transferring funds via the internet from their Bangkok Bank accounts before travelling to Australia. Upon arrival, students will be able to make transactions at any one of 800 ANZ branches nationwide, as well as withdraw cash and make deposits at ATMs locally and internationally. Opening an account in advance will increase students’ safety by reducing the need to travel with cash. To celebrate the new service, Bangkok Bank is offering ‘Double Value’ special offers, including waiving the international fund transfer fee (valued at Baht 950) for the second transfer to the ANZ deposit account, as well as the chance to win one of three iPad minis valued at Baht 15,200 each. Customers who transfer funds with the highest total value every three months from April to December will receive the prizes.
