Mitsubishi Motors announces to start production of its Eco Car Sedanthat will be named as Mitsubishi “ATTRAGE”at the new 3rd factory after getting government’s approval on business plan.
Mr. Nobuyuki Murahashi, President of Mitsubishi Motors (Thailand) Company Limited (MMTh) today reveals the official name of Mitsubishi’ new generation global compact car under Global Small Project or Eco Car sedan in Thai market as Mitsubishi “ATTRAGE”which will be made at a the third factory of Mitsubishi Motors Thailand located in LaemChabang Industrial Estate, Chonburi after receiving the government’s green light on Eco Car Sedan project.
The name “ATTRAGE” originated from the word “Attractive”, conveying the message that “ATTRAGE” is a decent sedan that is going to attract various target groups with its main product features that can be classified in the following 3 categories; Top fuel consumption, good maneuverability and Spacious cabin.
“Among the class-leading features include the excellent aerodynamic, optimization of the body structure and further adaptation of high-tensile steels resulted in one of the lightest weight among its class, “ATTRAGE” achieves top fuel consumption in its class at 22 km/liter and provide the superb maneuverability with Class-leading minimum turning radius of 4.8 meter.“ATTRAGE” is also designed to provide spacious cabin from its top class interior length compared to other sub-compact cars in the market together with value-added equipment. After the success of Mirage introduction last year, the “ATTRAGE” will be another high-quality strengthens Mitsubishi line-up in Thailand. We believe it will satisfy all types of customers’ needs” Said Mr. Murahashi.
According to MMTh’s plan, Mitsubishi “ATTRAGE” will be introduced as a world premier in Thailand in this July 2013 and it will be exported later on to worldwide markets as a global strategic vehicle.
