Siam Commercial Bank PCL (SCB) and the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI) are organizing a seventh “SCB-FTI Factory Outlet Fair” for Thai SMEs to offer quality products to consumers at special prices.
At the opening ceremony for the fair, SCB Senior Executive Vice President Sirichai Sombutsiri remarked, “SCB has been a business partner with our SME clients over a long period of time. Our support for SMEs covers not only business funding, but also capacity enhancement for sustainable growth. The latter includes seminars, training courses, and this “SCB-FTI Factory Outlet Fair” as a marketing and sales channel. Receiving a warm welcome from both SMEs and consumers, the fair has been held seven times so far, with over 200 participating booths this time. We project sales of more than 15 million baht through the five days of this seventh fair alone.”
FTI Chairman Payungsak Chatsuthipol noted that, “According to FTI's vision, we aim to boost the potential of Thai industries and SMEs nationwide through an integrated approach, increase competitiveness in the face of global competition, and improve readiness for embracing changes and sustainable development. The SCB-FTI Factory Outlet fair is an example of FTI and SCB collaborative activities supporting and promoting the capability of Thai industries and SMEs. Held for the seventh time, we have received a warm response from entrepreneurs joining the fair as well as consumers."
“We offer an alternative distribution channel to boost SME domestic sales. Participating booths at the fairs are a mix of FTI members and SCB SME clients nationwide. The fair offers a wide range of products, including those in the food, beauty and health products, clothing, accessories, handicrafts, leather, home decoration, and furniture categories. We expect 10,000 visitors per day at the fair,” added Payungsak.
The seventh SCB-FTI Factory Outlet Fair will offer quality products from over 200 brands, with discounts of up to 40%. The fair will run from May 27-31, 2013, 9.00 am — 6.00 pm at Mahisorn Hall, SCB Head Office.
