Bangkok Bank (China) Beijing Branch Manager Mr. Chiravit Supatanakul (front row, 4th from right) welcomed students from the international research project of Eramus University from Rotterdam in the Netherlands on their visit to Bangkok Bank Beijing branch in the People’s Republic of China. They attended a lecture on business outlook for China’s commercial banks and history of Bangkok Bank in China, in line with the bank’s commitment to share useful knowledge and business experience with the younger generation, both locally and internationally. Bangkok Bank has operated in China for more than 20 years and is the only Thai commercial bank to receive approval from the Chinese government to open a local bank. It was granted a license for incorporation in 2009 and now has four branches — in Shanghai, Beijing, Xiamen and Shenzhen.
