The SEC has been awarded a “Thailand ICT Excellent Awards 2012”in the “Knowledge Management” category for internal knowledge management under the SEC Centerpoint Project. The award was given at the “Thailand ICT Excellence Awards 2012,” organized by Thailand Management Association (TMA) in cooperation with National Electronics and Computer Technology Center (NECTEC), Software Park Thailand, and the College of Innovation, Thammasat University, on May 28, 2013.
SEC Secretary-General Vorapol Socatiyanurak said the achievement was a result of the SEC’s ability to use technology for enhancing operational efficiency underthe “SEC Centerpoint” Knowledge Management Project. The project has allowed the SEC staff to learn, exchange, and apply the knowledge acquired from work process and our staff’s experiences for improving efficiency at work. Continuing cooperation from all SEC staff primarily contributes to the development of this project and now this award.
The SEC Centerpoint is a center of three kinds of knowledge; namely, explicit knowledge, tacit knowledge, and in-process knowledge which is a conclusion and opinion on the operations resulting from analysis of the explicit and tacit knowledge. The single portal has welcomed participation of all the SEC staff, anywhere and anytime, to create and seek knowledge beneficial to the work. This always contributes to enhanced knowledge development, raising the SEC’s efficiency.
The SEC last year was awarded “ICT for society” for its accomplishment in developing the Mobile App “start-to-invest” to promote financial literacy and investment knowledge for the general public and “Core Process Improvement” for developing its services and internal operating systems under the project 'SMART SEC Administrative Office' at “Thailand ICT Excellence Awards 2011-2012,”.
