Rowan commented that “Huahin is our 19th branch; it is the first of many to be opened in 2013. This Huahin branch is fully equipped with our 24-hour on-line system to ensure that our customers will receive the same standard of services that Bangkok customers get. Most importantly, our Huahin office is manned by a team that altogether has over 20 years of experience combined to assist customers on managing risks. They are supported by the operation team in Bangkok which is made up of 340 staff”.
On the business performance side, Sri Ayudhya Capital PCL (AYUD) consolidated result for the first quarter 2013 showed that it generated a net profit of Bht. 213.19 million. Separately, Sri Ayudhya General Insurance PCL (SAGI), its subsidiary, showed a net profit exceeding Bht. 40 million demonstrating its financial resiliency after the massive flooding in the late 2011.
“After the massive flooding event, we concentrated on helping our customers to quickly get compensated. This effort resulted in better business performance for us as our customers continue to support us in return. For the first quarter of 2013, we were able to reach Bht. 767.08 million in total premiums, an increase of 17.62% over last year. We are pleased with this result”, Mr. Chusak said.
