The SEC has reintroduced mobile application “start-to-invest”, providing more information on new products, inflation-adjusted investment calculator and business operator quick contact.
SEC Secretary-General Vorapol Socatiyanurak said the SEC has developed “start-to-invest II”, the ready-to-download mobile application for investors and interested people after its predecessor launched in May 2012 has been well-receptive. The new version includes additional categories of financial products, facilitates users with additional information for efficient investment decision-making. It also offers an inflation-adjusted investment formula for reasonable results and furnishes a business operator quick contact. The user-friendly financial application simplifies the investment as “Mobile App at the ready for investment”.
The mobile application “start-to-invest II” featuring a variety of enhancements is now downloadable through both IOS and Android mobile apps, without any expense. Additional types of new products: saving bonds and alternative investment products investing in gold, oil, and infrastructure projects are added in “New Offering” menu. Key useful information for investment decision-making; such as date and offer price, earnings per share, and price-to-earnings ratio is also at your fingertips. Ten mutual funds categorized by investment policy are put in “Mutual Fund Highlight” menu.
In addition, the “Investment Asset Class” menu, consisting of government and corporate bonds, stocks, and alternative investment products is inserted in the application for investors to research before making their decision. The “Investment Calculator” menu is equipped with an inflation-adjusted function to reflect more accuracy and make it more convenient.
“The SEC has encouraged general public to continuously seek more financial knowledge and planning. Thus, it has created a tool that can react to lifestyles of the new, mobile generation and developed content and easy-to-use functions responding to a variety of investment demands. The SEC hopes that the application will be the tool that could eventually improve the investment skill among the Thais,” said Vorapol.
