The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) has expanded its Banker-to-Broker campaign, which expands the quality investor base by targeting bank savings clients and which has been held for three consecutive years, by adding TISCO Bank and TISCO Securities to the scheme, At present, 9 financial institutions are in the project, with over 5,500 bank branches and the banks' brokerage subsidiaries nationwide. To date, 4,351 bankers and staff of affiliated securities companies have been trained to provide effective investment guidance to clients, while the campaign has increased the investor base by creating 35,600 new accounts from regular bank savers.
SET President Charamporn Jotikasthira said: “SET is delighted to work with TISCO Group in promoting wealth management among the bank’s customers through securities investment. Last month, the scheme offered two training courses on wealth management and investment products for TISCO’s bankers to help transform their customers from savers to investors.”
“The participation of TISCO in this Banker-to-Broker project helps to closely link the financial and capital markets together, with bankers being key connections to promote the bank’s complete line of financial services to customers and promoting new trading channels through all bank branches. According to the scheme, participating bank branches will educate the public on financial planning and give other useful investment knowledge,” Charamporn added.
