WE Fitness Society announced its 600 MB investment to open 4 clubs in Bangkok this year. The goal is to build the brand with focuses on superior quality and service via ”Fitness Society” concept targeting at young healthy people.
Miss Angel Chan, Chief Operation Officer at WE Fitness Company Limited, a fitness provider under “WE Fitness Society” brand reveals that fitness business is growing with the value of more than 6,000 MB. There are more than 1,000 major and minor entrepreneurs across the country including fitness center, sport club, in-house fitness for hotel and condominium and community fitness club. The business is growing at least 10-20% each year as a result of healthy trend. According to the survey, it is found that the fitness member is equal to 1% of the population. The number reveals the gap in Thailand’s fitness business.

This implies that there is not enough fitness to meet the needs, particularly the one within the community area. At the same time, the survey also indicates that most consumers feel that there is no fitness brand that can truly satisfy their needs in terms of providing efficient workout program while being the relaxing place for hanging out with friends,” Miss Angel also added.

In addition, Miss Angel Chan also revealed the investment and business expansion plans for 2013, “for the first year of the business, we will invest 600 MB to open 4 clubs in Bangkok. WE Fitness Society is spacious with more than 13,000 square meters for the 4 clubs. The first club will be opened in August 2013 at Major Cineplex Ratchayothin with more than 3,200 square meters space. Another 3 clubs will be opened at Major Cineplex Ekamai, Major Cineplex Pinklao and Esplanade Ratchadapisek. It is aimed that we will have 8,000 members from 4 clubs in this year.”
Miss Angel Chan also added that WE Fitness Society’s business goal is to build and strengthen the brand in the long run. More clubs will be opened in the department stores for the member’s convenience. The quality of the service will be enhanced constantly. The goal for 2013 revenue has been set at 160 MB. It is expected to have 8,000 members across the 4 branches. The target groups include university students, employees with 20 years old and above who care for their health and look for the convenient place to keep their health fit and firm.
