IDC Asia/Pacific recently announced the appointment of Michael Araneta as Head of Business Operations in Thailand.
Araneta will be instrumental in strengthening IDC Thailand's research and sales divisions. With extensive experience as an IDC analyst and a reputation for excellent client management, he will be focused on boosting IDC's prominence in the Thai ICT sector. Araneta will also be responsible for strengthening further IDC's customer base in the Thai market.

Araneta will continue to be Research Director for IDC Financial Insights Asia/Pacific, spearheading research and consulting on a broad range of Asia/Pacific banking issues including mergers and acquisitions, Big Data, Social Media, product innovation strategies, customer centricity and CRM initiatives, vendor product portfolio positioning, and core banking systems strategies.
