Mr.Woradaj Harnprasert, Director-General of the Civil Aviation Department revealed after the opening The 50th Conference of Directors General of Civil Aviation, Asia and Pacific Regions (DGCA/50) held from July 1-4, 2013 that hosted by the Civil Aviation Department is a conference of the Department of Civil Aviation of the State Parties on international civil aviation in the Asia Pacific region., including 38 countries and with 10 key global international civil aviation organization. The main issues of this conference are focus on innovation and targeted for enhancing aviation safety, aviation security, and sustainability of aviation activities in Asia Pacific Aviation. The purpose of this conference including review, exchange information and ideas are on key aviation, and the interest of the international countries. Especially in this region, promote regional cooperation in the field of civil aviation and providing information on how to comply with the guidelines and regulations, as well as the unity of law in the region. There is also a presentation of the progress of civil aviation in each country during the past year. This will result in collaboration in solving problems and obstacles of aviation business in Asia Pacific region including the monitoring and coordination on key issues accurately and timely. Agenda of the 50th DGCA emphasizes the importance of innovation and focus on enhancing aviation safety, aviation security and sustainability of aviation activities in Asia Pacific including technical discussions about innovation in aviation, security measures and regulation of international aviation, with the economic development of air transportation, aviation and the environment, standards to improve the operation of renewable energy for sustainable aviation, aviation security and facilitation, emergency response in case of natural disasters, as well as initiatives and innovations in the other related to the safety of the flight. However, Thailand has been honored by International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) to host a conference of Director General of the Department of Civil Aviation in the Asia Pacific region for this year, considered to be a very good opportunity. Because of the special conferencing of the 50th anniversary of the agenda, which now global aviation development has more progress and the same direction of the growth of air transport in the Asia Pacific It is the duty of the States Parties to take measures in various fields to keep things civil aviation and air transport provides a stable and more secure, the key to a stable and sustainable as well. Thailand is the location of the International Civil Aviation Organization. Offices in Asia Pacific, and a hosting the 50 year anniversary is a special time, which will facilitate the support of ICAO’s activities and also showcase the country's civil aviation leadership in the region, including strengthen cooperation with the Department of Aviation of countries in Asia and Pacific region and global key aviation agencies from around the world.
