Government Savings Bank (GSB) continuously celebrates 100 years by launching a next generation’s business concept contest project “Savings of Hundreds to Millions” that provide opportunity to students and the general public aged 6-25 years to create business concept. The total prize money are more than Three Million Baht and strategies are prepared to convince people to join this contest, with fully use of social network to proactively promote to join Popular Vote activities with award winning vote. Accepting applications start from now until September 19, 2013, and the 100 finalists will participate in the workshop with a business planning expert. For team to break through the blockade and reach the final round of 10 teams will get a special intensive training from famous marketing guru and overseas study-visit.
Mr. Worawit Chailimpamontri, President and CEO of Government Savings Bank, said that the Government Savings Bank is financial institutions to give priority to promote savings by royal intention of King Rama VI, on the basis of living adequate. And also GSB is the financial institutions that promote grassroot economy, and the importance of social concurrently. Due to the celebrating 100th Year of Government Savings Bank, GSB has various campaigns throughout the year continuously, according to the CSR policies to strengthen financial discipline and to create opportunities for new entrepreneurs. It will be linked to government's project that aimed at supporting students and those who have recently graduated or small business.
Recently, Government Savings Bank (GSB) has launched a next generation's business concept contest project "Savings of Hundreds to Millions" which has prize money totaling more than Three Million Baht providing opportunity to students and the general public aged 16-25 years to create business concept. It is aimed at raising awareness of savings habit and self-sufficiency, including to creating a future career. The application starts from now until the 19th September 2013 and the finals will be judge in early November.
GSB was the first bank, that most Thai Children opened account with. When they were teenagers, their roles are changed to be more responsible until working age. GSB is still ready to be side by side, as a good consultant to co-create the future with our customers, and that is the purpose of this design contest for a next generation's business concept "Savings of Hundreds to Millions", aiming to achieve a self-sufficiency thinking approach to further create a sustainable business. GSB expects to have well response from students, university students and young people, because it is a good project with high reward. The winning team will receive a cash prize of up to One Million Baht and will also be given the opportunity to participate in the workshop and coaching by successful businessmen and experts in various aspects of business planning. There will be the oversea study-visit that is a great opportunity and experience" said Mr. Worawit.
Awards for next generation's business concept contest are 10 Prizes, plus 1 Popular Vote Prize, including;
* Winner Prize Money worth 1,000,000 Baht
* 1st Runner-up Prize Money worth 500,000 Baht
* 2nd Runner-up Prize Money worth 200,000 Baht
* 7 Consolation Prizes Money worth 30,000 Baht each
* The 100 finalists will receive Prize Money worth 5,000 Baht per idea
* Popular Vote Award the Prize Money worth 15,000 Baht and all participants in voting in this activities will be eligible to win 10 Awards of iPad mini.
Assistant Professor, Dr. Eakachai Apisakkul, Project Consultant, said about rules of next generation's business concept contest "Savings of Hundreds of Millions" that each team will consist of no more than three people and must apply and register within September 19, the process of submission includes filling in the form to describe the business concept, product or service, outstanding, unique ideas and target group, as well as the financial and investment budget. Then, sending clips and concepts introduced within 3 minutes by mail or email. The committee will select 100 teams to participate in the workshop, which successful entrepreneur and experts in the business will provide theory information. Each team will receive initial funding of 5,000 Baht and bring back the plan to adjust and improve. Later when submitting plan to the committee, the committee will select the last 10 finalist teams to act intensive counseling and coaching from business and marketing guru for final improvement of businessconcept. This 10 team's clip will be published on Facebook to seek for the Popular Vote Award before the final round in early November."

It is planned to prepare multiple channels to deliver of leaflets, posters and detailed project information to educational institutions across the country.
