Department of International Trade Promotion, Ministry of Commerce set to increase the online transaction value for OTOP products to 6.42 million baht, as well as establishing business negotiation center via Thaitrade.com, Thailand official B2B E-Marketplace, to support SMEs and export performances.
Ms.Srirat Rastapa, Director General of Department of International Trade Promotion, Ministry of Commerce, revealed that it introduced Live Chat, a trading negotiation application, to open the market and facilitate online business matching between premium OTOP entrepreneurs and SME exporters under the Thaitrade.com membership.
“Thaitrade.com is an online business matching center, enable the ability to find and match business partners between premium OTOP entrepreneurs and Thai exporters. It is expected to create more than 50 partnership matching and 6.42 million baht worth of transaction. This leads to marketing channel expansion which allows OTOP entrepreneurs and SMEs to gain benefits from domestic and international private companies’ purchase orders.”
Furthermore, Thaitrade.com has launched a business matching service, leading to 49 successful business negotiations between OTOP entrepreneurs and Thai exporters. 141 OTOP products include Furniture, Decoration, Gift & Souvenir, Christmas decoration, Stationery, Home appliances, Seasoning, Fashion accessories, Jewelry, Snack, and Fresh fruit. It is one of DITP’s goals to encourage growth in OTOP exportation. In order to achieve such a task, DITP is continuously sharing related information with its members and providing them with supports on products design in order to catch the attention of international prospect buyers
