Bangkok--19 Jul--TQPR Thailand The Chelsea Football Club shares Right To Play’s belief in the power of sport and play to change young lives, and have demonstrated this through their ongoing support over the past seven years. Right To Play is Chelsea’s charity partner for Chelsea’s pre-season tour in Asia with the theme being “Here to Play, Here to Stay”. Recently, Right To Play organized a football for development session for 40 students, 20 girls and 20 boys, from the Praya Prasert School with the guests of honour being the 3 coaches from the Chelsea Football Club Foundation. The coaches, who are in Thailand in advance of the Chelsea FC’s friendly match against the Singha All Stars, were thrilled with such an enthusiastic and respectful group of children. The students, particularly the girls, worked hard to improve their football skills and thoroughly enjoyed themselves in the process. The Chelsea Football Club took the field at Bangkok’s Rajamangala National Stadium yesterday to face the Singha All Stars with both teams carrying Right To Play’s iconic Red Ball as they make their entrance. Right To Play and the Praya Prasert School: The Right To Play Thailand Foundation began work with the Praya Prasert School in 2011 where it trains the teachers to integrate life skills into its curriculum by using sport and play activities. 1,609 students are able to participate in sport and play activities weekly to foster healthy relationships, build life skills and positive values, and also to strengthen education. The programs are working to enhance the holistic development of children in the school by encouraging their direct and active involvement in their own education.
