Bangkok--8 Aug--PR One Network Stepping into Its 10th Year, Home Builder Association Holds “Home Builder Expo 2013” with the Concept of “Creative Technology for Home Building Innovation”, Aiming to Have Sales of 2,850 Million Baht to Boost Sales in the Second Half. Home Builder Association steps into its 10th year, holding a big event, “Home Builder Expo 2013” with the concept of “Creative Technology for Home Building Innovation” during August 22 - 25, 2013 at Queen Sirikit National Convention Center. It joins hands with Tra Chang and Department of Alternative Energy Development and Efficiency and King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang to present innovation, construction materials and give energy-saving home designs free-of-charge. There will be Home Builder Robot Contest as the first time in Thailand and 40 leading home builders and construction materials producers joining the fair. Special promotion is a lucky draw for Toyota New Vios, Mitsubishi Mirage and iPad. The association targets to have sales of over 2,850 Million Baht to boost sales in the second half. Dr.Patchara Tantayanyong, President of Home Builder Association, discloses that the association will hold “Home Builder Expo 2013” with the concept of “Creative Technology for Home Building Innovation” which the association has attempted to promote and seek solutions to develop new innovation and technology to apply with home building and to prepare for the current labour shortage problem. The fair will be held during August 22 - 25, 2013 at Plenary Hall, Queen Sirikit National Convention Center, which has been held consecutively for 10 years. In the fair, there will be over 40 leading companies from home builders and construction materials producers who will introduce new model of housing designs with special promotions offered for customers. There will be also many booths from home decoration producers and dealers, leading financial institutions and real estate medias joining the fair. The fair this year remains special like those in the past years with a focus on academic, engineering and introducing modern home building innovation and technology which is useful to visitors. The fair receives good cooperation from partners from many agencies including Department of Alternative Energy Development and Efficiency, Ministry of Energy and King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang as well as leading construction materials producers to give 21 designs of energy-saving home free-of-charge to visitors. They are certified with an internationally level for energy conservation by King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang. The activities in the fair include academic seminars to acknowledge consumers about energy-saving home building which can be applied. The seminar will be shared by experts of housing design, construction technology and energy who will give useful information to consumers who want to build a house. The title of one of the seminars is “Pleasant and Happy Living; How to Build an Energy-Saving Home” together with the special speech, entitled “Thailand’s Residential Trend: How to Develop to Have Energy Conservation” by Dr. KuruChit Nakorntap, Deputy Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Energy. The seminars will comprise 2 sessions: Session 1 with the topic, “Energy Policy with Housing Design and Construction” by Dr. Twarath Sutabutr, Deputy Director-General of Department of Alternative Energy Development and Efficiency, Ministry of Energy; Associate Professor Tanit Jindawanik, lecturer at the Faculty of Architecture, Chulalongkorn University; and Khun Panthep Thanchitikul, Managing Director of Makerhome Company Limited. Topic for Session 2 is “Pleasant and Happy Living; How to Design an Energy-Saving Home” by Professor Dr. Vimolsiddhi Horayangkura, Advisor to the Dean of the Faculty of Architecture and Planning, Thammasat University; Assistant Professor Rungroj Wongmahasiri at the Department of Architecture, King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang; and Associate Professor Chuenjit Changchenkit at the Department of Marketing, Kasetsart University’s Business School. It will be held on August 22, 2013 from 13.00 hours onwards at Meeting Room, Queen Sirikit National Convention Center. Anyone interested to join can register free-of-charge at www.hba-th.org. In the fair, there will be “Home Builder Robot Contest 2013” in a university level, held as the first time in Thailand. It will be a contest for automatic robot which can be applied practically in the business world. It will be developed to work, replacing construction labour in homebuilding sector. It can lift heavy materials like cement bag, sand tank and stone tank with the development of modern homebuilding innovation and technology to replace labour which is in a shortage. The contest is sponsored by SCG Building Materials Co., Ltd, the construction materials innovation leader under Tra Chang Brand, Homebuyers Group and Kasetsart University to win a total prize of 350,000 Baht. There are 15 teams of students from leading university qualified to join the contest which will be held during August 23 - 24, 2013 at Meeting Room 1 - 3. There will be also the pilot robot, Power Suit Robot which the association sponsors through a research of Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) which can be applied in construction job, joining to show as the first time in the fair. The robot contest will be broadcast live through NBT Channel on August 24, 2013 at around 16.00 - 17.00 hour. Other activities in the fair include exhibition of energy-saving home where energy-saving materials will be introduced with energy-saving knowledge as well as energy-saving clinic by Department of Alternative Energy Development and Efficiency, Ministry of Energy. At the central booth and stage, various activities will be held throughout 4 days including home building knowledge, home building seminar corner, Feng Shui, architectural and engineering consultant corner and book corner of New Home Design Vol. 7 which features a collection of latest home design by Home Builder Association’s members, offered with a special price. There will be Home Builder Research Center by the association’s academic section which will analyze consumer’s behavior to tell consumer’s home building demand and a guideline to design a house to match with consumer’s demand. Besides discounts from home builders joining the fair, this year special promotion includes a lucky draw from Home Builder Association to win Toyota New Vios 1.5J Standard (1 prize), Mitsubishi Mirage GL MT (2 prizes) and iPad Mini Wi-fi 16GB (10 prizes). Dr.Patchara adds that sales target this year which the association estimates is 2,850 Million Baht which the association is confident to achieve as the event this year is greater than that in the past years and the association's members offer special promotion and more discounts than those offered in the past years to boost purchasing power in the second half of the year.
