Jesters, at the Peninsula Bangkok, is now open, bringing Bangkok an eating, drinking and music venue where it all adds up, even in its contradictions, to serious fun. Jesters, a techno alternative space where the food is new, the live music hot and cool, the feeling truly special.
The Peninsula Bangkok, the latest deluxe hotel to rise on the banks of the Chao Phraya River, already makes an architectural statement, and Jesters certainly adds to that with an exclamation point. Jesters interior, with its techno feel, which is quickly countered with the two story high windows looking out on the flowing river, is unlike any other. A space that startles, yet is totally comfortable. A space full of contradictions -- fun contradictions.
Jesters presents a cuisine that takes Pacific Rim fusion and spins it around, with a menu totally created by Jesters own specialty chef, Stephanie Rowe. Starting from her native New Zealand, Stephanie has blended the foods of Asia and the Pacific into combinations and tastes that enchant in their contradictions -- flavorful contradictions.
