Bangkok--25 Oct--Dentsu
KAMEDA—STC Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of KAMEDA SEIKA, launches the Less-Fat Rice Snack "OKOME" in October, targeting health-conscious working women and men aged between 20-29 as the main target and consumers aged 20-39 who enjoy the general snacks as the secondary target. In addition, “OKOME” targets to be one of the Top 3 brands in the snack market in Thailand.
"We are confident that we will receive positive feedback from Thai consumers because of the outstanding features of OKOME. OKOME has not only the unique Neo-Japanese taste, but also significantly less fat as we use “Hot Air” technology in production process for the first time in Thailand. Without using oil, the high-speed hot air makes the rice snack crispy while maintaining its nutritional value and keeping crispiness last longer.”, said Tetsuya Fujisaki, KAMEDA-STC’s Managing Director.
OKOME launches four flavors of the Less-Fat Rice Snack including Nori Wasabi, Teriyaki Fish, Sweet Corn, and Barbecue Curry in three pack sizes-- 60 grams, 30 grams, and 16 grams. OKOME will be distributed at the convenience stores, department stores, and modern trades nationwide. During the launch period, the company has budgeted approximately 50 Million Baht for the Integrated Marketing Communication campaign including 30 and 15 second TV commercials, online activities, digital media, product sampling distribution, and sales promotion activities.
“In terms of marketing, sales and distribution, KAMEDA SEIKA collaborates with DKSH, a leading player in providing Market Expansion Services for the consumer goods in Thailand. Through its industry expertise and unparalleled experience in offering Market Expansion Services tailored to the specific needs of its business partners, we believe that OKOME will be successful in Thai snack market” added Mr. Fujisaki.
