AP Honda Co Ltd, the official Honda motorcycle distributor in Thailand, and Honda Automobile (Thailand) Co Ltd pride their top rank in Nikkei BP Consulting Brand Asia 2014 Survey.
With a score of 71.2, Honda brand topped the list of automakers industry and the overall industry of Thailand. Honda is also listed the sixth in the Top 60 Global Brands, with a score of 60.4. The score is considered the highest in the automakers list.
In 2013, Honda brand in Thailand climbed into the best-sellers list in both automobile and motorcycle categories. With a record of 1,493,364 units, Honda motorcycles swept 75% of market share. Honda cars took 32.4% of market share, with a record of 213,155 units sold.
The Brand Asia 2014 Survey in Thailand measured the images of individual brands such as their friendliness, usefulness, and perceived quality, and investigated regional differences and image trends. Brand loyalty and channel to receive brand information have been added in the survey this year. The survey was conducted in 12 Asian regions: China, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, and Vietnam. A total of 1,160 brands were surveyed between December 2013 and January 2014.
