The art of perfect meetings and events will be an innovative and flexible experience when Anantara Lawana Resort & Spa Samui’s new Lawana Meeting Room is completed in early 2015, enhanced by atmospheric concepts, special packages and a highly personalised approach.
Anantara Lawana Resort & Spa Samui has invested THB 50 million in this impressive new meeting and event venue. The most extensive conference facility in Chaweng and the only one to be surrounded by vibrant tropical gardens, the Lawana Meeting Room boasts a total 240 square metres of space, conveniently located on ground level adjacent to the hotel entrance. Seamlessly blending in with the resort’s uniquely charming architecture and design, this meeting and event venue’s stylish vintage décor is inspired by the island’s Chinese merchant heritage.
The Lawana Meeting Room hosts up to 220 guests and for added convenience can be divided into two smaller rooms. Flexible seating options cater for all kinds of business functions, from meetings and conferences to presentations, product launches and exhibitions, as well as charity galas, staff parties and dinner banquets. Extending the options to a wide variety of social events, the Lawana Meeting Room offers an elegant indoor venue for Thai, Western, Indian and Chinese weddings, or special celebrations such as a birthday, graduation and anniversary.
A theatre arrangement can hold 220 participants in the whole space and 80 in each room. Classroom style seats 120 in total and 48 both smaller rooms. For a boardroom set up, as many as 60 delegates can be hosted, or 20 in each divided space. In a U-shape formation, 70 people can be seated or 30 in each separate room. An H-shape layout seats 36 or 24 per room. While for a lavish banquet, a total of 140 guests can be entertained, or for a more intimate option, 60 can dine in each of the two smaller rooms.
Creating the perfect atmosphere, music and lighting are tailored to each group’s needs. The Lawana Meeting Room is filled by natural light by day, and for themed functions and dinner parties an emotional lighting system of changing colours sets the ideal visual mood. Refreshing and re-energising meeting guests during breakout sessions there are a range of music themes to choose from, and for themed dinner parties, entertainment options include a live band or DJ.
Special full and half day meeting packages include interesting themed coffee break options, and showcasing Anantara’s passion for culinary excellence, the finest Thai, BBQ, western, Asian and vegetarian cuisines are offered in generous buffets or refined set menus, accompanied by special beverage packages.
