Hokkaido seafood sensation at Yamazato

Bangkok--16 Sep--The Okura Prestige Bangkok Yamazato, the signature Japanese restaurant at The Okura Prestige Bangkok, is showcasing some of the world’s finest seafood caught in the ice cold waters off the Japanese island of Hokkaido. Yamazato Master Chef Shigeru Hagiwara has created new lunch and dinner à la carte menus that embrace the very best catches from Hokkaido. The dishes include seasonal favourites such as kani suki (crab hotpot) and kaki dotenabe (oyster miso hotpot); Hokkai sashimi (seven kinds); taraba kani hotate butter yaki (grilled king crab with scallop, corn and butter), demi-glace gratin (oyster, scallop, crab, demi-glace gratin) and kaki zosui (oyster and rice porridge with pickles). Yamazato Master Chef Shigeru Hagiwara says, “The waters off Hokkaido island produce seafood of outstanding quality and flavour and our guests always enjoy the special dishes we present.” A la carte menu items are available for lunch and dinner, priced from Baht 350++. Yamazato also presents a special Gozen lunch, priced at Baht 1,700++, featuring tuna, yellowtail and shrimp sashimi, grilled snowfish with herb flavours, simmered salmon, and a tempura dish comprising shrimp, oyster and vegetables. The Hokkaido seafood season begins Sunday 5 October and runs until 30 November 2014. Yamazato is located on the 24th Floor of The Okura Prestige Bangkok.
